SCHOOL INITIATIVE
EcoXpand is proud to introduce the Schools Recycling Initiative, a simple yet powerful program designed to instill environmental responsibility in learners while helping schools generate additional income through structured plastic recycling.
This initiative is designed to:
Build awareness of recycling and environmental issues among learners.
Generate a sustainable income stream for schools.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and environmental pride within the school community.
Focus: We collect only plastic materials to ensure safety and easy handling.
Learner Involvement: Each learner is encouraged to bring one plastic item per week (or two per month) as their active contribution.
Monthly Roster: A schedule will be shared to guide schools on what types of plastics to collect each week (e.g., PET bottles, HDPE containers, LDPE bags).
Collection: Materials are to be stored in designated recycling bags provided or approved by EcoXpand
(Example: School with 2,400 learners)
2,400 learners × 2 items/month = 4,800 items/month
One full bag holds 60–80 items, so:
→ 4,800 items ÷ 70 (average) = ±69 full bags/month
Promotes responsibility, discipline, and environmental pride among learners.
Provides hands-on learning about plastic types and the importance of recycling.
Generates funds for school projects, supplies, or student support programs.
Encourages school-wide collaboration toward a cleaner, greener community.
